Remote learning
We are not currently operating any remote learning.
If a child needs to have remote learning put in place outside of mandated school closure, we will do this on a personalised basis.
In the event of another period of mandated school closure or part-closure, we will re-introduce our previous remote learning procedures using an online learning platform which will be used in an age-appropriate manner by class teachers.
Whilst we are currently fully operational in school, our remote learning provision is still in place. During whole class or school lockdowns we have and would again switch to delivering a hybrid model of teaching by:
- Providing class teacher live learning via MS Teams
- Recorded lessons via The Oak National Academy
- Printed worksheets or booklets
The provision of remote learning, materials and methods are adapted to the age of the children and parental feedback on what is going well with a particular approach.
Our core aim is that when remote learning is mandated:
- Key subjects are prioritised at home
- Pupils are given the opportunity to meet up with teachers daily online
- Teaching is flexible to enable families to manage learning to suit their preferred timetable and time and resource availability
- Pupils efforts are recognised
- Pupils and their families feel supported and their efforts appreciated.
Please see our Class Pages for links to our online learning platforms which are constantly available.
If the need were to arise to switch to remote learning, our school would ensure we align our approach with recommended practice, to the best of our ability.
